- Hogan was a little all over the place in that opening segment, he wasn't clear about what was happening in the Bound For Glory Series and he just rambled on when announcing the ladder match. Hardy vs. Bully is a good main event and Bully's promo was good but Hogan (much like at Slammiversary) really wasn't great here.
- Decent Chavo/Hernandez match with teases of a potential heel turn down the line with old veteran Chavo upset at that young upstart Hernandez beating him (Chavo being a whole two years older than Hernandez, that's really a reflection of TNA's mindset at times) or at least that's how they presented it. TNA can't really afford them to break up though. I prefer Hernandez in the BFG Series so I'm happy.
- We continue the Abyss/Joe Park angle with and okay segment with Devon, that Park was typically the highlight of. Who keeps hitting Abyss' music anyway? The backstage stuff with Devon was good, hokey, horror film knockoff fun too.
- If TNA can get together an Angle vs. Jackson match for BFG that'd be a really big, interesting attraction match for that show. Jackson's promo was fine but their stare down was great (and Rampage has an awesome death stare).
- Really fun six man tag and a good showcase of the three new champs, giving Sabin a good win while giving Gunner some more time to shine. It's nice to see some fresh faces aswell (though referring to Sabin as a fresh face despite him being on this show since 2004 seems like an oxymoron). I just wish they would've made a bigger deal and given more focus to this segments though.
- Mickie James is my new favourite Knockout (even with Taryn and Gail's tremendous performance at Slammiversary), her totally insincere babyface gimmick is so awesome and she's nailing the delivery (especially in the backstage promo with Velvet). Match was fine and Hendrix didn't really show much.
- Really good main event until the finish. It's nice to have Hardy back because he's been fantastic since he returned in 2011 and last night was no different. I still think these two haven't had that big, memorable singles match that they're capable of. Finish sucked though, not just a bait and switch but added Hogan family drama = meh.
Closing Thoughts
A pretty good show with a good main event. Here's hoping the BFG Series gives this show some structure to build around over the summer.
