Quick squash for Jarrett (no different from his other squash matches)
before he takes a seat on the announce desk demanding to know who his
challenger at Victory Road is going to be. Russo announces a four man
tournament with Hardy, Abyss, Raven and Brown starting next week to
determine the challenger. Some in the crowd chanted "You killed Nitro"
at Russo. Styles then came out demanding an X-Division title match so
Russo made a six man No. 1 Contenders match as the main event. D'Amore
came out next demanding a tag title shot, Team Canada beat down Styles
until 3LK made the save. An awful lot happeneing here. There was also a
show running angle where Zbyszko and Harley Race were trying to broker
peace between Russo and Rhodes.

Enhancement matches for both Raven and Abyss to set them up for the
upcoming tournament. Hardy vs. Abyss and Raven vs. Monty are set for
next week in probably the first time the bigger stars have wrestled each
other on TV (and the first Monty match that won't be a complete
squash).

The Naturals beat the tag champs. Story of the match was that Daniels
and Storm were getting along great until the end where things fell apart
between them and The Naturals picked up the win. I quite liked this
angle, there's an inherent intrigue to whether two long time rivals can
coexist and it was something different. Team Canada showed up on the top
of the ramp too.

Really fun main event which is to be expected considering the sheer
amount of talent in the ring. Lots of highspots, teases of dives and
actual dives (and a couple of really good nearfalls) before Styles as
expected picked up the win setting him up for a title match vs. Williams
at Victory Road.
Closing Thoughts
A fun main event and some development on the undercard with a tease of meaningful matches for next week.
