My first question is do you watch TNA and if so how long have you been watching TNA?
Don't get a chance to see it while I'm touring over here in Japan unfortunately, but I've been watching since it started. I remember watching the weekly PPV's, the debut on Fox Sports, and each week on Spike. I've always had an eye on it.
Is this your first tour of Japan?
Yeah, it is. How has Japan been so far? It's been pretty awesome. Tons of hard work but an amazing experience.
What are your thoughts on the new Gutcheck Challenge with the fans voting?
I think logistically it's a challenge, but I'm all for any concept that puts power in the people's hands to help design the product they watch. Nobody knows better than the people watching, what they want to see.
Which wrestler inspired you to become a professional wrestler?
I'm influenced by a ton of people that have come before me, but I never need inspiration. It was really something I knew I just had to do. Wrestling was in me. It didn't make any sense trying to pursue anything else.
Who trained you to be a wrestler?
I was trained by Mike Sharona, Ricky Cruz, and the rest of the Dynamo Pro Wrestling Gym in St. Louis, MO. I've now come to Japan to further that teaching in the Pro Wrestling NOAH Dojo.
Which promotion do you primarily wrestle for?
At the moment I'm doing a three month tour in Japan for Pro Wrestling NOAH, but when I get home my main promotions will be Dynamo Pro Wrestling, Ohio Valley Wrestling, Southern Illinois Championship Wrestling, Metro Pro Wrestling, and some other great Indy promotions in the Mid-West.
Did you train at OVW or were you just a wrestler there?
I haven't trained at OVW extensively. I've been wrestling there for a little over a month.
What is your finishing move called and what exactly is it?
My finishing move is a Chokeslam called 'The Cure', but I've been learning some things here in Japan and might be trying out something new when I get back home.
For those that have never seen you wrestle what makes you stand out?
I can't say there is only one thing that makes me stand out as a wrestler. I can promise that I am far from the cookie cutter mold that is generally seen on TV in wrestling these days. From curtain to curtain, I am something different to see. Mannerisms, appearance, wrestling style, and persona are all a little different.
Have you ever had a match with anyone in the Gutcheck Challenge?
I've wrestled Jay Bradley in OVW and I can tell you he's one tough dude. Would love to get in the ring with him again and seek a little revenge. I've been around a few of the competitors in other brackets and would love to meet them in the ring too.
If you could have a match with anyone in TNA who would you choose?
If I could pick one person on the TNA roster to wrestle, it would have to be Kurt Angle. I don't think you can truly know who you are as a wrestler until you've been in the ring with him.
What is your gimmick?
My gimmick...is unique. I guess you'll just have to vote for me in Bracket 9 and see it on TV for yourself.
Is there any wrestler out there that you would compare yourself too?
I try not to compare myself to other wrestlers, but from America to Japan I constantly have people tell me I remind them of a modern day Bruiser Brody. Not much higher compliment in my book.
