Bobby Roode opened the show by coming to the ring. He said he made a very lucrative business investment into the World Title. He made a deal with the Aces and 8s and they didn't fulfill their deal. He called out the Aces and 8s saying he wanted answers right now.

The Aces and 8s came to the ring. Devon informed Bobby Roode that someone offered them a better deal. Devon said someone outbid Bobby Roode. When Roode wanted to know who did it, Devon told him that they keep it among the club. At that moment, both Devon and DOC got on the ring apron. Devon said they couldn't tell him now but later tonight he may get his answer.

At that moment, Jeff Hardy and James Storm came to the ring. Hardy told them he was sick of this business crap. He said they came to fight and both Storm and Hardy charged the ring, clearing Aces and 8s from it.

Talon's Take: So someone outbid Roode to prevent him from winning the World Title. It could be Storm as that would make sense. By the way, the Aces and 8s group is so inconsistent. Now they are a group of hired mercenaries who will work for whoever pays them most?

We got a few words from Velvet Sky, who was happy to be back. She is more focused than ever. She then shook and said the pigeons have been cooped up for too long.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

We got comments from Mickie James following her match on Sunday. She was clearly upset saying she let herself and her fans down. Mickie thought she had Tara beat but that didn't happen.

Talon's Take: I am hoping that TNA goes with a Mickie James heel turn like they were gonna do earlier this year. A Mickie vs Velvet feud is pretty new and interesting.

Madison Rayne vs Velvet Sky
Next week is Championship Thursday with the Knockouts Title being on the line. Velvet wore a golden catsuit with her logo on the belly. Madison Rayne got into the face of Velvet as she made her entrance. Rayne attacked after the opening bell.

After playing defense for awhile, the crowd got behind Velvet. Madison hit her pelvic thrust facebuster move for two. Velvet with knee strikes, clotheslines and a running bulldog. She follows it up with In Yo Face for the victory.

Talon's Take: Velvet looked good in her return. I missed her! While the match wasn't impressive; it served the purpose of reminding the fans of Velvet's assets.

Backstage, Kurt Angle gave Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco. Kurt will be in their corner tonight for tag team action. Garett wanted a cup of coffee but Kurt had 5-hour energy ready for them.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Backstage, the camera man asked Daniels and Kazarian if they had anything to do anything with the Aces and 8s payoff. Daniels said he was focused on AJ and didn't need any help. He said AJ is who the camera man should be talking to as he had a reason.

Robbie E and Robbie T vs Garett Bischoff and Wes Brisco
Brisco and Bischoff were accompanied by Kurt Angle at ringside. Taz announced that Angle would get a TV Title shot against Devon next week. Terry took down Brisco immediately with a big slam before tagging in little Rob. Brisco broke out of a Bear Hug but was caught with a double team maneuver from the two Robbies.

Brisco made the tag to Garett, who was a house afire on Robbie E. Wes Brisco got a blind tag on Garett and then pinned Robbie T with a Flying Crossbody. After the match as Wes and Garett were celebrating, a masked Aces and 8s member clipped Kurt Angle's knee with a pipe. Wes and Garett checked on Kurt's knee.

Talon's Take: Both Garett and Wes are still very green in the ring and could use some time in OVW. With that said, I do like their tag team especially if the storylines progress the way I think they will.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

I just witnessed a holiday TNA commercial featuring Joey Ryan riding a rocking horse while spreading oil on himself. Wow!

Talon's Take: Joey Ryan and oil are two things I don't want to see at the same time around Christmas time.

Backstage, the trainers checked on Kurt Angle. Angle was clearly writhing in pain.

We got a recap video of Joseph Park's time in OVW. He rode a VW beetle to the arena. Joseph Park found Danny Davis backstage. Davis started training right away. Park ran around the ring, did situps and more while David yelled at him.

Talon's Take: Entertaining segment! Park is a great character who would for storyline-purposes need training. This also gives good promotion to Ohio Valley Wrestling.

Brooke Hogan was in her office when Tara and Jessie walked in. Tara made comments about Brooke's boyfriend. Jessie will be facing Bully Ray tonight. Tara wanted to help Brooke choose her opponent next week because they are both Hollwyood A-Listers. Brooke declined the offer. Tara told Jessie to beat Bully tonight. Brooke told Jessie to shove another sock in his shorts.

We got another 1.3.13 video saying something about descending on people and vengeance having a name.

Talon's Take: The predictable prediction would be Sting but I could also see it being Abyss. I am hoping to be shocked by whoever the video is for.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Backstage, Kenny King talked about his match against RVD. King said tonight may not be about the belt but tonight, he would knock RVD square on his ass.

James Storm and Jeff Hardy vs Aces and 8s
The Aces and 8s consisted of a bigger masked guy and DOC. Storm and Hardy worked over the Aces and 8s early on. Both members struggled to get any sort of offense. Hardy flew off the ring apron onto both members before heading into break.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Some underhanded tactics gave the Aces and Aces the advantage. DOC pummeled Hardy in the corner. The two gang members continued their double team methods. Hardy tried fighting back, Hitting a Jawbreaker on the masked member but couldn't make the tag. The gang continued the beatdown, sending Hardy hard into the guardrail.

Finally, Hardy made the hot tag to the Cowboy. He hit a Diving Crossbody for a two count before tagging Hardy back in.Hardy and Storm hit Poetry in Motion on the masked man followed by a Double Suplex on DOC. At that moment, a number of different Aces and 8s members tried to interfere but were fended off. Last Call followed by a Twist of Fate gives Hardy and Storm the victory.

After the match, Devon said the club doesn't fight other people's business. He revealed that the one who paid them off was AUSTIN ARIES.

Talon's Take: I think its important that TNA start giving the gang some wins. They have been losing alot lately and are losing their credibility as threats. Clean victories here and there would go a long way for them.

Backstage, Hulk Hogan asked two production workers what just happened. Bobby Roode interrupted and complained. Hogan's phone rang and it was Austin Aries. He has until later tonight to explain what happened.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

AJ Styles came to the ring to address his major loss to Christopher Daniels at Final Resolution. AJ Styles said the fans know where he has been. When they chanted "you still got it" he assured them that he wasn't going anywhere. AJ said he doesn't know what the next step is. He said he has spent so much time being a corporate guy that he has forgotten AJ Styles.

AJ said this has nothing to do with IMPACT Wrestling and everything to do with AJ Styles. AJ ripped off his IMPACT hat and shirt. He is so sick and tired of being the janitor and cleaning up TNA's mess. From now on, he is  doing his own thing. AJ then left the ring.

Talon's Take: This was a good but quick promo. AJ's turn to the dark side continues as he stops worrying about the company that made him and gets selfish. I know reports said he won't be turning heel but I could definitely see it happening after this promo.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Backstage, Dixie Carter approached AJ asking him who he was. AJ threw his T-shirt at AJ.

Elsewhere, Daniels and Kazarian questioned if he sent AJ packing from TNA. He did a little dance out of joy. Kazarian promised him a surprise next week. Daniels was concerned saying they didn't promise big Christmas gifts as he got him a gift certificate.

Rob Van Dam vs Kenny King
The two opened up with some chain wrestling. Both went for kicks but it was RVD who connected with his. As RVD taunted, Kenny sent him to the outside. He followed it up with a Corkscrew Dive to the outside.

Kenny went for a corner move but got caught with a clunky spinning back kick. Kenny hit a nice Handstand Kick followed by a Springboard Blockbuster move for two. RVD went for a 5 Star Frog Splash but got caught on top. King backflipped off the top but got hit with a diving Crossbody. King rolled through and then used the ropes for leverage to beat the X Division Champion.

Talon's Take: This looks like the start of a heel turn for King. I am happy that creative is giving the X Division some story as we have been getting the "Challenger of the Month" concept for awhile now.

Backstage, Bully Ray approached Hulk Hogan in his office. Ray wanted to know if Hogan had a change of heart. Hogan is mad that Bully snuck around with his daughter, putting her in harm's way. Ray said there wasn't anything going on with his daughter. He explained that when they were on the couch, she was apologizing for Hulk.

Hogan said if they weren't together then he wouldn't have a problem with not seeing Brooke again. They called each other by their real names. They were yelling at each other. Ray said what his daughter does is her own business. After leaving, Hulk called him weak.

Talon's Take: Despite not being a huge fan of the storyline, I enjoyed this segment. Both Ray and Hogan were really good here.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Next week on Championship Thursday, the Knockout Title will be defended against Velvet Sky, ODB, Mickie James or Brooke Tessmacher. Also it will be Kurt Angle vs Devon for the TV Title.

Jesse vs Bully Ray
Ray smashed through Jesse with hard shots left and right. His head was clearly not into the match. Jesse got in a tiny bit off offense but by the end, he was clearly in pain. Ray hit HARD chops on the chest of Jesse, reddening his sternum area. Tara tried to interfere but ended up getting swat on the ass by Ray. The distraction allowed for Jesse to hit some shots of his own.

Jesse was able to maintain his advantage, even allowing Tara to choke Bully on the rope. Unfortunately for him, Bully connected with the Bully Cutter for the victory. Ray's head wound from Final Resolution was opened up. He yelled "what's it gonna take" to the camera.

Talon's Take: Jesse's chest took a huge beating in this one. I personally believe he got in too much offense against Bully as this should have been a glorified squash match. With that said, it was an entertaining little bout.

Austin Aries yelled at a camera man backstage for following him saying they will learn just like everybody else.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

Austin Aries came to the ring. He confirmed that he was the one who trumped Bobby Roode's offer to the Aces and 8s. Austin said his money sings to the Aces and 8s. He said he didn't care if he was outed as long as they got the job done. He said he fought Hulk Hogan's battle six months ago but he didn't get paid for it. He fought Hogan's battle for him and after it was over, Hogan tossed him aside to jump on the Hardy bandwagon. Aries won't stop until he gets back his World Title.

World Champion, Jeff Hardy came to the ring still sore from earlier today. Hardy said its about the World Title. Aries had to hire a biker gang to get the title back. Hardy said all he had to do was ask. Aries made a comment about having to climb ladders and jungle gyms but he has to jump through hoops. Hardy said next week is Championship Thursday so he proposed Hardy vs Aries III. Aries said he does things when he wants to do it.

Hardy attacked Aries and the two brawled around the ring. Aries went for the Brainbuster but ended up getting hit with the Twist of Fate. Aries rolled out of the ring before he would be hit with the Swanton Bomb. Aries retreated backstage angry about what just happened.

Talon's Take: Good segment here. Hardy vs Aries has been a good feud with the two meeting at Turning Point and BFG. I could see the two fighting in an Ultimate X match or something else especially with Aries comment about it. It is more likely that at Genesis, we will get Hardy vs Aries vs Bobby Roode.

FINAL TAKE
I enjoyed tonight's show but I usually enjoy the show in some capacity. I am not a shill for TNA who loves everything they do but I don't focus on the bad. I am entertained when I am but am not a cheerleader. With that said, there was enough about this show to keep me entertained.
