Small Areas That Still Need Improving

TNA Impact has really stepped their game up. The shows have improved a great deal. Problem is there are still areas that needs to be addressed. TNA Impact ratings have gone up since moving back to Thursdays. Thats great for TNA and the fans. They still have a major problem of creating strong cross over characters. People want TNA to be different from WWE cool. I understand we get tired of the same thing. Thing is must fans don't want to hear it, but TNA needs to do somethings WWE do also.

For example TNA's X Division constantly bomb on the rating scale. Not because the matches aren't good. The X Division lacks characters and strong personalities. Doug Williams excellent wrestler same with Kendrick. The Amazing Red great worker awesome aerial star. What all of them have in common? Outside of wrestling great matches they're void of character. Joe, Styles, and Daniels were more then just great matches. Joe was the undefeated violent monster. Daniels was the sneaky heel who would anything. Styles was the darling babyface caught in the middle. Styles mic skills wasn't good doing the time. Daniels heel persona was strong enough to help AJ. Same with Joe his combination tough, mean, violent, and take no prisoners persona elevated the feud.

Doug Williams current storyline of hating aerial wrestlers. It has no ground to stand on because Kendrick isn't an aerial star. Kendrick's style is still a mystery. To be honest I have no idea what he represent. TNA hasn't told us what Kendrick is all about. Kendrick now using the cobra clutch don't help the feud one bit. TNA needs wrestlers fans won't change the channel on. Its apparent Lethal has outgrown the division.

Speaking of Lethal the question comes up now what? I mean after beating Flair, Kaz, Styles, Morgan, and Wolfe. Where do you go from here? Lethal's impressions of legends made him standout. Trouble is now he just plain old Jay Lethal again. He's a great worker but from his theme music down to his gear. Lethal needs a makeover big time. He's wearing red and yellow now in honor of Hogan. Well look how much that helped Abyss. If he's going to be a contender he needs something to make standout from the rest.

Refusing to cut ties with guys nonprofitable to TNA. TNA can't afford to waste anymore time on these people. I don't know Heyman's exact list but heres mine. Rob Terry, Rhino, Dr. Stevie, Raven(could be used in creative) if not bye, Jesse Neal, Taylor Wilde, Rosie Lottalove, Suicide, Kiyoshi, Eric Young, and Kevin Nash. Nash would be nice in the booth with Taz, and Tenay. The names above lacks promo skill, personality, look, or major fan appeal. I left Hernandez and Cide off the list because they can reform LAX. TNA would be wise to reunite them. Neither man has the ability to standout alone as major single wrestlers. This will be last on this rant of mine. The entrance theme music hurts the wrestlers also. Great theme songs is a much part of wrestlers appeal. Believe it or not that makes a difference with casual fans.

TNA lack stars for every walk of life. In that TNA has no characters that represent Latinos, Pop Culture, Hip Hop, Asian, Arabrians, and Gothic. If TNA plans on touring the world next year. They've to get wrestlers that appeal to a larger audience. If TNA plan a trip to Mexico without any type of Lucha based star they'll bomb bigtime. TNA has to make sure to spend fill these holes in order to grow. Canada, Puerto Rico, Japan, Australia, India, Mexico, and Eastern Europe these are the countries TNA plan on touring in the future. I suggest building stars those fans know and are familar with.I know this column won't be popular at all. I'm just suggesting areas TNA can improve in.

Marketing wasn't mentioned everyone knows that need improvement. TNA has a great show in my opinion. Thing is if they want to grow more. TNA has no other choice but to work on these gaps. See you guys Wednesday ''On The Marqui''.
