Interview with Kurt Angle Highlights

Kurt Angle was on Hardcore Sports Radio with Mauro Ranallo and talked a variety of topics including Hulk Hogan, TNA Creative, Paul Heyman and more.

A few highlights:
-Angle said he suggested not to be on TV as much. He said he thought it was "the Kurt Angle show." He wrestles less and more on PPV, saving his health.

-Angle said he loves Hogan and Bischoff and have helped the younger talent. He said Hogan knows whats best for wrestling. Angle said he is for some of the changes he is for and some he isn't. TNA has made alot of changes recently and thinks TNA should stay consistent and not make any more radical changes for awhile.

-Angle said he is very happy with TNA and has one more year on his contract. He says he hopes Heyman becomes a team player. He keeps telling Dixie she is the leader and she runs the show.

-Angle says TNA has a better roster than WWE. He isn't a political person its about the company. He said things are good right now but he is concerned about radical changes, which aren't needed at this point.

-Angle said he has one year left and he will decide then if he wants to retire. He can't see himself being in wrestling as long as Sting or Hulk Hogan. As long as he is enjoying it, he will go on but if he can't be Kurt Angle 100% he will bow out.

-He talks off topics about Angle foods and his movies.

-He said if he does retire it will probably only semi-retired and he would work part time. He said its hard to give up wrestling because of the respect from the fans. He likes the challenge of being one of the best two wrestling matches of the night.

-He said in his early run working with Stone Cold, he learned to structure matches and finishes. He enjoys doing that so maybe he will become an agent and a wrestler if he semi-retires.

-He said wrestling isn't rocket science but they need to use old fashioned skills and what they did in the 80's and 90's.

-Angle said he would have gone into MMA if he hadn't broken his neck. He said he met Dana White in 2006 but he already signed with TNA. He said he didn't completely agree with Dana White's requirement. He said he wanted to prove himself in UFC but he has had a happy career in wrestling. He said he would need to train for a year if he wanted to go to MMA. He is counting it out right now.

There is so much more. Listen to the entire interview as it is extremely fun.
